Story

Although Cecilion was a blood demon, he fell in love with Carmilla, a human girl, yet harsh reality forced Cecilion to end their relationship. Cecilion was extremely saddened by Carmilla’s decision to end her life after he departed. He transformed Carmilla into Blood Demon by using his powers. The two of them never again shared the world together after that.

For many years, the most popular kind of entertainment for the residents of Avalor was watching Cecilion’s night opera. Every time this well-known opera performer appeared, the theater was packed. His unfathomable skill and handsomeness drew everyone in. However, Cecilion was not pleased with the human affection, shouts, or praise. He had always tried hard, to conceal his true identity and blend in with human society.

Cecilion, a demon, had been living away from humans due to Lord Lava’s oppression against Blood Demons. Some demons left the Despair Place to live among humans, seeking forgiveness and integration. However, they faced hostility and hunting by the Abyss. As an adult, Cecilion was the only remaining demon among his kind. To hide his identity, he lived in Avalor as an Opera actor, covering up his abilities and characteristics related to Blood Demons. He was elegant on stage but spent his nights alone at night. One day, while taking a bow, he met Carmilla, who was also looking at him. The two lonely souls fell in love, marking a turning point in Cecilion’s life.

Cecilion,

an opera actor, was deeply in love with Carmilla, a woman he had never met before. They kept their pasts secret, and they pledged loyalty to each other. However, Carmilla’s father, Earl Ansaac, knew about their relationship and believed she should marry a more powerful man. As the love grew stronger, Earl Ansaac violently interrupted the relationship, imprisoned Carmilla, sealed the Opera house, and exiled Cecilion.

As rumors circulated that Earl Ansaac was about to marry off his daughter, Carmilla, to Baron Tawil, Cecilion was tempted to take her away but realized that the love between a blood demon and a human could never be true. He decided to give up on her.Carmilla was set to marry Baron Tawil at dawn, but before dawn, Cecilion placed a rose and letter with his name on her window. However, Carmilla knew that her estranged lifestyle was not important to her, and she loved Cecilion for who he was. After cutting her wrist with a sharp dagger, Carmilla forfeited her life to Cecilion.

Carmilla’s death made Cecilion feel sad, and he returned to see her from a distance. When he arrived, he found Carmilla’s cold corpse at a funeral. Feeling pain and regret, Cecilion took away his love and revived Carmilla using his own blood, but this power came with a price, transforming her into a Blood Demon. To protect this eternal love, Cecilion decided to never let anyone separate them.

The people

of Castle Aberleen never saw Cecilion or Carmilla again, only the legend of the night. They grew stronger as time passed, and Cecilion realized that being a Blood Demon made no difference to Carmilla. However, the betrayal of the Blood Demons and the hatred of humans forced them to choose a path of turning back from their past. Cecil had always chosen to hide behind the darkness and stay away from the crowd, feeling the old-time fame felt unusually meaningless. Now, he decided to share his secrets with Carmilla, putting his identity at risk of being revealed. He remained a life of running away from both humans and Abyssal Demons, craving forgiveness from the Lord of Light.

Every detail in their life embodied their love, and Cecilion believed he could endure anything and everything. To keep Carmilla’s father, Earl Ansaac, from discovering the truth and avoiding the interference of the Abyssal Demons, they disguised themselves as ordinary human beings and fit into human society. However, accidents happen, and their identities were discovered, and Cecilion had to kill everyone who knew the truth. It is believed that once Cecilion unleashes his true power of Blood Demon, no one, be it Abyssal Demons or humans, could escape.

Abilities

Passive – Overflowing

Cecilion increases his Max Mana by 10 and restores the same amount of Mana his skill hits an enemy target. Cooldown: 1 second.
Cecilion has higher Max Mana and Mana Regen, and his skill damage scales with his Max Mana.

Skill 1 – Bat Impact

Cecilion orders a giant bat to dive in a designated direction, dealing 100–250 (+80% Total Magic Power) (+5% Total Mana) Magic Damage to enemies on the path. The giant bat will stay at its destination and launch another attack, dealing 200–500 (+160% Total Magic Power) (+10% Total Mana) Magic Damage to enemies and triggering Overflowing extra 1 time.

In 6 seconds, every time Cecilion casts this skill, the mana cost will be increased by 1.8 time(s) (capped at 4 times). While casting this skill, he also gains 30% Movement Speed for 1 second.

Skill 2 – Sanguine Claws

Cecilion summons a pair of claws in a designated location. After a short delay, the claws will move toward each other and pull enemies along the way to the center, dealing 200–300 (+45% Total Magic Power) (+1.2% Total Mana) Magic Damage and immobilizing them for 1 second.

Ultimate – Bats Feast

Cecilion unleashes Blood Demon power [for 6 seconds], increasing his Movement Speed by 60% (decaying rapidly over 1.5 seconds) and gaining immunity to slow effects. Meanwhile, he shoots 40 bolts of blood energy at the enemies nearby, each dealing 35–45 (+8% Total Magic Power) (+0.3% Total Mana) Magic Damage and slowing them by 3% (up to 30%) for 1 second.
Hitting an enemy heals him for 10 and 1% of his lost HP.

Skill Special – Moonlit Waltz

When Carmilla is nearby, Cecilion can call her into a Vermil Shadow possessed by him [for 5 seconds], providing 220–500 shield (scales with Carmilla’s level).
Carmilla can select a target place and land on there, gaining equal shield, dealing 220–500 Magic Damage (scales with her level) within the area of effect, and slowing them down by 30% for 1 second.
